Gauze is the quiet backbone of any first aid drawer, and we think a household should have enough to never ration it. Twenty-five rolls cover scraped knees, kitchen nicks and the odd blister without a midnight store run. Each roll is wrapped on its own, and four rolls of medical tape come in the box so the loose end has somewhere to go.

The material is soft, breathable and absorbent, made to lift away from a cut without clinging. Because it is a stretchy cotton weave, it conforms around a finger or elbow more easily than stiff old-style gauze, and it does not shed lint. Cut it to whatever length the job needs, wrap, tape, and get back to dinner.
